Payments & Cancellation Policies

How to Sign Up for a Track Day or School

  1. Review the Cancellations section below to be sure you are aware of the cancellation/transfer/refund policy. It is very liberal and we ask that you support it by abiding by the modest restrictions. (The most important one is the two-week cancellation rule.)
  2. Check the Event Schedule page to see if spots are available. If the school or track day "group" (A, B+, B-) you want to ride in is SOLD OUT and you want to be placed on the waiting list contact us (phone/email/fax) and give us your contact information (name, address, email, phone). We also need your credit card data but don't recommend using email for this as email is not secure. Your credit card will not be charged until we are able to secure a guaranteed spot for you.  If you use the shopping cart for a waiting list spot your card will be charged. We're okay with this and can deal with the refund if the spot doesn't come through.

How to Sign Up for Events Not Sold Out

Select one of the following methods to sign up!
  • By credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover):
    • Go to the Order Page to sign up and pay by credit card or PayPal for one or more events (it is especially convenient for buying multiple events and it is done through a secure, SSL connection so it is very safe)
    • Email us with the pertinent information:
      1. Home or billing address
      2. Event date
      3. Rider names, telephone numbers, email addresses, and skill levels (A, B+, B-, or C)
      4. Amount you want to pay-- $100 deposit or full payment
      5. If paying a deposit, whether or not you want us to charge the balance when due
      6. Call or fax your credit card data (email is not secure)
    • Call us with the above data (650-949-5609)
    • Fax us the above data (650-949-5607)
    • Use PayPal directly from your PayPal account to email money by credit card to the  above email address (include the same data)

    Note: It is safe to leave confidential information on our office answering and fax machines.

  • By check:

    Once we receive your payment we will add your name to the rider list. We manually review each order for completeness and accuracy before updating the rider list. It is not instantaneous (give us a little time before you get concerned; sometimes we're traveling). When that is done you can click the date on the "event schedule" page to see the rider list and verify that you have been added.

  • Use Your Ticket Pack or VIP Spot
    You can now sign up for events on this website using the Order Page and selecting the page tab "Use Ticket Pack". It is simple from there! Or you can call or email us.

Refunds, Cancellations, and Transfers

We have the most liberal refund policy in the business. We believe customers want a generous and simple standard, without a lot of deadlines and punishing fees. Please help us keep it this way by not asking us to break this policy for you.
  • Cancel with more than two weeks notice: You are entitled to a refund, transfer, or credit (your option).
  • Cancel with less than two weeks notice: You own the spot and are on the hook for the full payment.

Simple, isn't it? But in the interests of fairness, and to give customers opportunities to rescue payment when canceling late, we also allow this: If you are able to fill your spot with another paying customer you are entitled to a refund or credit or transfer. We will try hard to help. You may sell or give away your spot. EXCEPTION: Trackday Ticket Pack holders may NOT sell or transfer spots per the terms of the written, signed agreement. You may rescue your ticket if you are able to find a rider willing to pay us the regular price for your spot.

Refund Methods

If you cancel with at least two weeks notice you must decide on how you would like us to resolve your payment. You can choose:

  • Refund to your credit card. We're happy to do this if the original charge is not older than 90 days. It must be to the credit card originally used (we must cite the unique transaction ID associated with it). If it is older than 90 days we are prohibited from doing a credit card refund. The banks insist on keeping their fees. We do not feel this is liberal enough and will do refunds for everything we received (97%) regardless of age. The refund would be in the form of a business check or PayPal (your option).
  • Refund by check. This is always an option. Again, we will refund all we received. If a credit card or PayPal was used we will refund 97%.
  • Refund by PayPal. PayPal prohibits refunds after 60 days. So, within 60 days you will receive 100% via PayPal. After 60 days you will get all that we received (97%), and your form of refund -- PayPal or check -- is up to you.
  • Transfer to another rider. The other rider will receive credit for the full amount (100%) toward a track day or school.
  • Keep a credit on file for later use. We will retain your money, at your request, and post a credit of 100% of what you paid. It never expires and can be used anytime for trackdays, schools, or products we sell. You may later request a refund which we will happily do (see rules above). Your credit will be posted to your private record with us.
  • Apply it to another track event now. Tell us which track day(s) or school(s) you want and, assuming spots are available, we will make it so. Be sure to tell us how to deal with outstanding balances or excess monies.

Refunds, transfers and credits will always be expedited. We accept your money quickly. We will return it with the same haste. Remember that there is always a short delay in posting charges and refunds to credit cards. The delay is at your bank, not with us. Merchant transactions are batched and processed (usually) once per day. Other mysterious workings only banks understand may take another day or two. However, our action will be EXTREMELY timely, once we know of the request. And we will always issue you an email receipt (or hardcopy by postal mail if you do not have email).
